Toys R Us revived with Tanger Foley pop-up

Tanger Outlets Foley has expanded its roster with the addition of fashion retailer Buckle and a Toys R Us pop-up shop as the center continues a multi-phase renovation.

The brands join more than 100 national retailers at the 555,000-square-foot Baldwin County destination. Center officials said the expansion coincides with an ongoing project focused on modernizing the guest experience through exterior updates and integrated gathering spaces.

"We continue to enhance our brand lineup at Tanger Foley to give shoppers the variety and value they want from top national retailers and local favorites," Debra Brown, marketing director at Tanger Foley, said in a press release.

Buckle is now open in a 5,482-square-foot location between Levi's and Merrell. The retailer specializes in high-end denim and carries exclusive labels including BKE, Buckle Black and Outpost Makers. Beyond its inventory of footwear and accessories, the store offers services like personal styling and free on-site hemming.

Nearby, the Toys R Us pop-up shop has opened near Old Navy and Torrid. The location features a curated selection of family favorites, including action figures, puzzles, electronics, books and games.

The arrivals come as construction crews work to modernize the center's exteriors and improve connectivity throughout the property. The broader renovation plan includes enhanced access points and the introduction of new dining and gathering spaces designed to better integrate food and beverage offerings with the retail environment.

According to center officials, these updates are intended to reinforce the location's role as a community hub while creating a stronger platform for future retail and restaurant additions.
