New York Times bestselling author Pattie Mallette will visit Fairhope as part of her national book tour, in support of the teen edition of “Nowhere but Up: The Story of Justin Bieber’s Mom.” Set to engage and empower teens, Mallette will meet with fans and sign copies of the latest memoir release at Celebration Church on July 14.

Mallette, known to most of the world as Justin Bieber's mom, is more than just the mother of a world-renowned pop sensation. As a young woman and a single mom, she fought hard to rise above her painful past of abuse, shame and poverty. She now uses her voice to inspire others by developing film and television projects, speaking around the country, and leading her foundation, Round 2.

In addition to her book release, Mallette is currently leading groups to support teens, encouraging them to talk through the issues addressed in and which she faces through her new book. The focus of the teen groups is to create an environment for young people to share their own stories and find hope through her own experiences. Because of the significant difference that was made in her life through supportive relationships, Mallette is releasing the book and meeting with teens in hopes of her story providing solace, as well as guidance for younger fans around the world.

With more than 2 million Twitter followers and a teen pop sensation as her son, Mallette can largely relate to many teenagers today. Released on July 2 through Revell Books, Mallette aims to bring teens encouragement by telling of the healing she found out of her own pain. Special features are included in the book, such as sidebars on topics based on actual questions from Mallette’s Twitter followers and a group discussion guide.
