Toni Elaine Coleman, age 53, a native of Ft. Myers, Fla., and a longtime resident of Elberta, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at a local health care facility.
She is survived by her mother, Regina Coleman of Elberta; two brothers, Gerald Patrick Coleman Jr. of Key West and Douglas Coleman of Elberta, and her step-sister, Kimberly Cotten of Fairhope and her daughter, Chloe; two maternal aunts, Georgiana Polk of Ft. Pierce, Fla., and Gloria (Jack) Scroggins of Panama City; her special Olympic swim team; many paternal and maternal aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, including her in-laws, April Hardee, Sharon Hambric and beloved nieces and nephew, Rachael, Ashley, Deseara, Lily and Gabriel, cousins and lots of friends. Toni was preceded in death by her father, Pat Coleman; her maternal grandmother, Doris Plewe, her step-father, James Black, her grandparents, Gus Plewe and Shelley and Lillian Coleman. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery.
