LOXLEY, Alabama —The Tigers sent 19 men to the plate in the bottom of the first inning and 12 of them scored before Tanner High retired the Baldwin County side with the bases loaded. BCHS went on to win 17-7 in five innings in their first game of the Gulf Coast Classic II at Loxley's Municipal Park Monday. Tanner (15-6) defeated Pennington earlier at Loxley 15-4.
Seth Sellers got the start and the win. Jordan Ebert hit three home runs including the walk-off solo in the fifth for the 10-run-rule-ending play. The Auburn commit also had a single for eight RBIs and added an unassisted double play. Conner Burt drove in five runs with two singles and a triple; J.A. Harville had two singles, a double and three RBIs; Andre Cox and Brandon Gion had two hits each and scored and Kyle Cook and Garrett Stewart each had an RBI.
The Tigers improved to 15-6 overall. The tournament continues through Wednesday at Loxley, Robertsdale, Foley and Gulf Shores. Foley and Gulf Shores host semifinals Thursday and GSHS will host the finals Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Gulf Shores Sports Complex.
