Thomas Wright Underwood Sr., a long-time resident of Baldwin County, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012. He was 92 years old.
Mr. Underwood spent 37 years as an educator in Baldwin County. He taught mathematics and agricultural education at Foley High School and was the first principal of the Robertsdale Vocational School, currently known as the South Baldwin Center for Technology.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thera Hyde Underwood, and son, Thomas W. Underwood Jr.
He is survived by two grandchildren, Thomas Gavin Underwood of Decatur, and Ashley Underwood McDonald of Bonaire, Ga.; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was Feb. 12, at Pine Rest Funeral Home. Interment was at Pine Rest Memorial Park.
