Thomas Reid Sr., a resident of Lillian, died suddenly at his residence Monday, Aug. 12, 2013.
He was born Aug. 12, 1943 in Providence, R.I. to William and Anita (Fontaine) Reid.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jackie; daughter, Patricia Gingras; son, Thomas Reid Jr. (Kanong); grandchildren, Derek Gingras, Amanda Gingras, McKenzie Hammond, Sy Pires, Nathan Reid and Skyler Reid; sisters, Nancy Waterman, Norma Vanderhoff and Janet Preziuso; and brothers, Douglas Reid and Daniel Reid.
Thomas served in the United States Air Force and retired from the Sprinkler Fire Protection business.
He was advertising representative and member of the board of The Lillian, former member and manager of the Lillian Community Club, member of the Ancient Aviators of Alabama and American Legion of Alabama.
A celebration of life memorial will be held at the Lillian Community Club on Friday, Aug. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m.
