Thomas Jefferson “Jeff” Cross Sr., 62, a resident of Monroeville, died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at his home.
He was a resident of Monroeville; had worked with Vanity Fair and Georgia Pacific as an electrician. He was a member of the electrician’s Union in Mobile and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from October 1968 to September 1972.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Davis Cross of Monroeville; his mother Annie Louise Dyar of Frisco City; son, Thomas Jefferson (Jenny) Cross Jr. of Andalusia; daughter, Samantha (Joseph) Cook of Excel; brother, William Ivey Cross Jr. of Peterman; sisters, Ann Elmore of Grand Bay, Glenda Gulley of Frisco City and Linda Oneal Robertson of Arizona; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 7 at 4 p.m. at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Frisco City, with the Rev. Billy Hodges officiating.
