FAIRHOPE, Ala. — During the LifeSouth Community Blood Centers blood drive at Thomas Hospital in December, several department leaders challenged each other to recruit the most staff members to donate blood. The winning team of the competition was “Team Rehab” led by Rich Rammel, supervisor of the Rehab Services department. In addition to bragging rights, Team Rehab won a pizza party sponsored by LifeSouth Community Blood Centers. Team Art, led by Art Goodson of the Laboratory Department, and Team Heart, led by Toni Leslie of the Cath Lab were the other participating teams.

The blood drive had successful results with more than 60 employees donating. All employees who attempted to give blood were awarded Rave Motion Pictures movie passes, made possible by a generous donation from Cardiology Associates.

The next LifeSouth Community Blood Centers blood drive at Thomas Hospital is scheduled for March 15 and 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Morphy Conference Room.

For more information about donating blood, contact LifeSouth Community Blood Centers at 621-9644, or visit www.lifesouth.org.
