The Thomas Hospital Auxiliary has selected Kathy Bevel as Volunteer of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2026, recognizing her service and commitment to patients families and staff.

Bevel has logged 670 volunteer hours since joining the Auxiliary more than three years ago. She primarily serves in the surgery waiting area, where her presence provides comfort and assistance to families during stressful moments.

Volunteering is something Bevel considers a blessing and an opportunity to offer support and kindness to others. Fellow volunteers describe her as warm and caring and say she consistently goes the extra mile to help those around her.

The Volunteer of the Quarter program highlights Auxiliary members who demonstrate exceptional dedication to Thomas Hospital and its mission. Nominations are submitted by Auxiliary members, with forms available in the Thomas Hospital Auxiliary office and at the information desk at Thomas Medical Center in Daphne.
