Posted

The Thomas Hospital Auxiliary has opened the doors for Baldwin County residents who have a passion for healthcare, offering lucrative scholarships to support their academic pursuits. Aspiring professionals can now turn their dreams into reality, thanks to this generous opportunity.

The Thomas Hospital Auxiliary has announced its provision of health career scholarships to Baldwin County residents pursuing healthcare degrees. Eligible applicants must be currently enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university as juniors or seniors working towards a bachelor’s degree, or in the final year of an associate degree program. Documentation of full-time enrollment is required for undergraduate applicants.

Graduate and medical school students are also eligible upon completion of undergraduate studies and acceptance into a health career program, with submission of acceptance letters. Rusty Downey, a Thomas Hospital Auxilian, serves as chairperson of the Health Career Scholarship Committee.

Scholarship applications are exclusively available on the homepage of www.thomashospital.org. Selection criteria encompass academic performance, financial need, and community engagement. The application process mandates completion of an online form, submission of enrollment documentation, official transcripts, acceptance letters into healthcare programs, a personal essay, professional and personal reference letters, and an applicant photo. All materials must be received by April 26.

Funding for health career scholarships is sourced from proceeds generated by an art silent auction fundraiser, Auxiliary memorials, and used book sales. For further inquiries regarding the Thomas Hospital Auxiliary’s Health Career Scholarship Program, individuals can reach the Auxiliary office at (251) 279-1686 or auxiliary.office@infirmaryhealth.org.
