Thomas "Grant" Faw Sr., passed away on Jan. 9, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Faw Sr. and brother, Lewis Faw Jr. He survived by his wife, Vell Gallegly Faw of Gulf Shores; step-daughters, Jeane Foote of Gulf Shores,and Jamie Foote of Gulf Shores; five sons, Thomas Grant Faw Jr., and Robert Daniel Faw both of Lenoir, N.C., Lewis Faw, Matthew Faw and Justin Faw also all of N.C; step-son, Colter Foote of N.C.; one brother, Darrell Faw of Lenoir N.C; two sisters, Dollie Backman of Rolland, Iowa and Lori Ann Faw of Lenoir, N.C.; her mother, Jeanette Faw of Lenoir; six grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Monday, Jan. 14, 2013 at 10 a.m. from the Unity Baptist Church Cemetery in Pell City, Ala. The family ask that you make donations to Covenant Hospice in Faw's name.
