Thomas A. Ewing, Tommy or Big T as he was known to his family and friends, passed away at the age of 48 on Oct. 16, 2021, in Foley, Alabama.

He was born July 3, 1973, to Thomas Howard Ewing and Betty Jean Ewing, and was the eldest of four children.

Tommy had a huge heart, loved his wife, children and grandchildren immensely. He enjoyed riding horses with the Midnight Sun Riders (his second family), playing guitar, telling stories and jokes, as well as dancing the night away with his wife.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 27 years, Crystal Merchant Ewing of Elberta; his children Natosha Gabrielle Ewing of Bon Secour and Tristan Thomas Ewing of Foley; his grandchildren Bo and Sebastian; as well as his parents, Thomas Howard Ewing and Betty Jean Ewing of Elberta; his siblings, Christopher Ewing of Foley, Albert Ewing of Elberta, and Rose Riggan of Elsanor; his mother-in-law, Eyvonne Jantz of Foley; his nieces Nicole Byrd (who held a special place in his heart), Amber Peed, Devan Sullivan, Taylor Aguillard, Brittany Nims, Cherilyn Ewing; his nephews, Hunter Riggan, Jordan Ewing and Ethan Ewing, along with many other relatives.

The family received friends at Oyster Bay Baptist Church on Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 2 p.m.

A celebration of life is planned for Nov. 20, 2021. The family will be posting more details of this event on Facebook in the coming days.
