The Hope Farm will host two September events for guests interested in cocktails and wine, including an inaugural bartending competition and an educational tasting focused on France's Burgundy region.
The Art of Mixology Eastern Shore Bartender’s Championship will take place Sept. 10 from 6-9 p.m. Tickets are $75.
The competition will bring the region's top bartenders together for an evening of creativity, skill and friendly rivalry as they compete for the title of champion. Guests will serve as judges, sampling cocktails from each competitor and casting votes for the People's Choice winner while watching the competition unfold live.
The evening also will include bites prepared by The Hope Farm's culinary team.
On Sept. 12, The Hope Farm will continue its September programming with The Wine Educational Series: Stepping into Burgundy. The class will run from 3-5 p.m. and cost $50.
Led by Wine Director Will Jones, the class will take guests through Burgundy, the renowned French wine-growing region known for producing some of the world's most sought-after wines. Participants will taste Chardonnay, Aligote and Pinot Noir from four different producers in the region.
Jones will discuss soil types, vinification methods and the characteristics that make each wine unique. Sous Chef Emily Sherrer has created small-bite pairings to accompany each wine.
Tickets and additional information for both events are available at https://thehopefarm.com.
