The Haven Adoption Guarantee Animal Shelter is proud to name Josephine Owen as our “Volunteer of the Quarter”. Jo has been volunteering with the Haven for 4-1/2 years. During that time, she has helped in various capacities including dog walking, fostering, helping at adoptions and fundraisers, answering phones at the Haven, soliciting money from local businesses for the Haven, and sharing information on the Haven by distributing the quarterly newsletter to local businesses. Recently, she chaired a very successful “Yappy Hour” for the Haven and helped raise over $1000 for the no-kill animal shelter. “Jo is really tireless in undertaking her volunteer work,” says volunteer coordinator Kathie Ono. “We are proud to have her as one of our dedicated volunteers.”
