BAY MINETTE, Alabama -- The North Baldwin Coalition for Excellence in Education recently sponsored the Adventures in Space summer enrichment camp.
Led by teacher Aimee Dute, the camp featured a multi-sensory approach to journey across the galaxy.
The campers learned about the night sky and space exploration through literature, crafts, experiments and many hands-on activities.
Some of the projects including creating astronaut boxes to study moon sand and different types of rocks, made galaxy slime, and used toilet paper squares to measure the distance of each planet from the sun.
They also made many food projects during their study on space and had the opportunity to eat like an astronaut. Each camper also receive a special photo collage from their week of fun.
