DAPHNE, Ala.— The 2010-2011 Eastern Shore Tourism Council will hold an open meeting on July 19 at 8 a.m. at the Daphne Civic Center.

The meeting will be the final open meeting of the current council before a new council is selected later this month. The meeting is for all chamber tourism partners, but it is open to anyone interested in the state of tourism in the area. The council holds public meetings every quarter.

The mission of the council is to “aggressively grow tourism along the Eastern Shore,” which includes implementing a marketing campaign, developing tourism websites and distributing electronic news to members, states the council’s newsletter.
