The Drowsy Poet opening soon in Foley

Posted

FOLEY – Foley’s getting a new coffee shop, one that is perfect for coffee enthusiasts and book lovers alike.

The Drowsy Poet is getting ready to open within the next few weeks, and owners Bryan and Stacy Tittle are busy at work preparing to begin serving the city. It will be located at 218 S. McKenzie Street, operating out of an old corner gas station. The station will be keeping the vintage theme, and has been undergoing a historic renovation for the last year. The inside as well will be keeping a vintage theme.

“We are very excited to be opening in Foley, and can’t wait to share all the goodness Drowsy Poet has to offer,” said Stacy Tittle. “We have some work to do to acquire a nice little library for those who like to relax with a good book while sipping their coffee or tea.”

For the coffee drinkers out there, The Drowsy Poet will offer a variety of different coffees, espressos, lattes, and Poetchinos. There will also be an array of sweets, soups, sandwiches, and salads.

Need a pick-me-up during the afternoon? The Drowsy Poet will feature a drive-thru that will run behind the building for the days when life interferes and prevents you from sitting down with a good book, but when coffee is a must.

The Drowsy Poet is a member of the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, with a ribbon cutting ceremony being planned for some time in March. The Tittles will also be participating in many local events through Visit Foley.

An opening date has not been announced at the present time and is tentatively being set for early February.
