GULF SHORES, Ala. — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a rash of burglaries that occurred on Wedgewood Drive.

Patrick Clifton Hatcher, 19, was taken into custody early Nov. 22 and charged with three counts of second degree burglary, a news release said.

Gulf Shores Police said Hatcher is believed to have committed three residential burglaries and attempted a fourth on Wedgewood Drive.

The news release said the offenses occurred during the early morning hours between Nov. 19 and Nov. 21.

All residences were occupied at the time of the burglaries, as well as the fourth attempt.

Nothing was reported missing from any of the residences and no injuries were reported, the release said.

Several residents have reported having the doors of their homes kicked in while they were home, but nothing was stolen.

Investigator Tim Knight declined to comment on whether Hatcher was a suspect in those incidents.

He also declined to release any further details pending the ongoing investigation.
