Ted E. Smith, 53, a native of Silverhill and a resident of Robertsdale, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011 after a well fought battle.
He was owner and operator of Central Cabinet Shop since 1979. He was a dedicated father and husband. He was a long time coach of Central Baldwin Baseball and an avid supporter of his children’s sporting activities.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Lynnie Smith of Robertsdale; daughter, Tristan Smith of Robertsdale; two sons, Drew Smith and Chason Smith, both of Robertsdale; three sisters, Paulette Schell of Elberta, Johnnie Newton of Panama City, Fla., and Voncile Holtcher of Grand Bay; and brother, Wilson Smith of Silverhill.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25 at Mack Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 26 at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 19059 S. Greeno Road, Fairhope, AL 36532.
