With the new year comes a new season of Mardi Gras on the Gulf Coast.

There is a lot to like about Mardi Gras, including the parades, the beads and the traditions, but if you are like me, you like the king cakes the most, which has single-handedly ruined New Year's resolutions in the past (it’s not my fault they taste so good).

I will cut to the chase. By the time you are reading this, parades and celebrations will be getting started in a few days, at the most, and you are probably looking to get your annual Carnival sweets fix. Below are some places in Baldwin County that are selling king cakes now through Fat Tuesday. Get them while you can because it’s not like these are a common commodity year-round.
