The Alabama United States Pageant System crowned Tara Hooper of Fairhope Mrs. Alabama United States 2013 at the Cahaba Event Center in Birmingham on April 14.

Hooper, wife to Jeff and mother of 5-year-old Trevyn and 17-month-old Nyrie, is a California native, but moved to Fairhope two years ago.

As Mrs. Alabama, she will expand her volunteer efforts with the Look Good Feel Better program and will endorse the Let’s Move campaign.

Tara will represent Alabama at the Mrs. United States Pageant in Las Vegas in July.
