Campers enrolled in the Take a Summer - Reading Tour camp are getting some of their school work completed early. The students read selections from their school’s summer reading list and, during the camp, the worked to produce book reports and projects. Throughout the week, the students studied the various authors, held book discussions and work on multi-media projects. Campers include, from left, front row, Mose Franklin, Matthew Covington, Dillon Bryars, Will Steward, Sydney Reed; teacher Gail Richerson, Samantha Bailey, Sam Denson, Erin Emmons, Maggie Miller, Melanie Williams, Anna Beth Denson and Emily Williams.
Dillon Bryars works on a rough draft of his book report. He later typed up the report on the computer, adding photographs and other activity ideas. The camp was sponsored by the North Baldwin Coalition for Excellence in Education.
