Sylvia Broussard Day, age 79, born in Crowley, La. and a resident of Stockton, Ala., died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.
She was a property and records manager (retired) for Muscogee County School District in Georgia. She was a member and one of the first deacons of Stockton Presbyterian Church, a member of the Stockton Five Arts Club, a volunteer at Bay Minette Elementary School and a member of the Auxiliary at North Baldwin Infirmary. She was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. She is survived by her husband, John “Raymond” Day of Stockton; two sons, John (Rebecca) Day and Alan (Lynn) Day both of Stockton,; five grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Stockton Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Headrick officiating. Burial will follow at Richerson Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service at Stockton Presbyterian Church. Funeral arrangements are by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
