Pauline Sweatt, 70, a native and lifelong resident of Daphne, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007.

She exemplified what Jesus meant when He said, “to love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind and to love your neighbor as yourself.” She was the best wife, mother and grandmother and was a member of Eastern Shore Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Cimino.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Albert Sweatt of Daphne; two sons, Dr. Jeffrey (Bridget) Sweatt of New Albany, Miss., and the Rev. Greg (Julie) Sweatt of Dacula, Ga.; two brothers, Jason (Lillian) Gregor and Billy (Marilyn) Gregor, both of Daphne; five grandchilren, Holly Sweatt, Emily Sweatt, Alexander Sweatt, Benjamin Sweatt and Jonathan Sweatt; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services and visitation were held Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Eastern Shore Baptist Church. Interment followed at Malbis Memorial Cemetery.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Eastern Shore Baptist Church Building Fund.

Arrangments were made by Hughes Cremation & Funeral Services, Daphne.
