Lady Sutton-Turla, affectionately known by her family as “Joy,” died Sunday, July 1, 2007 at her home in Fairhope.
Born March 13, 1928 in Little Rock, Ark., she was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Curtis Will Sutton of Shreveport, La., brother, Joe (Anne) Sullivan of Lillian, father, Joseph Moffitt Sullivan of Tennessee, and mother, Jamesena Gillies Sullivan of Texas.
Survivors include her husband, Florian Turla of Fairhope; son, Gil Sutton of Pennsylvania; daughter, Shannon (Floyd) Davis of Fairhope; niece-daughter, Kathy (Ben) Furnas of Maryland; step-daughter, Robin Barry of Tennessee; granddaughter, Chelsea Farley of North Carolina; two grandsons, Ian Farley of North Carolina, and Scott (Wendy) Sutton of Florida; great-granddaughter, Adah Farley; grandnephew, Kyle Furnas; sister-in-law, Mary (Ed) Sutton, nephews, Craig (Julie) Sutton and Michael (Donna) Sullivan; nieces, Janice (Steve) Price and Kimberly (David) Dinkins.
The family wishes to extend its thanks to the caregivers who assisted Lady during her illness, Tonia O’Daniel, Linda Barnes and Annie Thompson.
Funeral services and visitation were held Tuesday, July 3 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home. Interment followed at Hill Crest Cemetery, Haughton, La.
The family requests memorial donations be made to to Mercy Medical Hospice, Daphne.
