Super Slugger tournament to raise awareness, money for childhood cancers a success

GULF SHORES, AL - Lynn and Melissa Byrd want a way to remember their son, Jensen, whom they lost to childhood cancer at age 5. For the second year in a row they staged a Super Slugger tournament named for their son's favorite video game. Their daughter, Jayden, made original artwork to sell to raise money for the cause as well. Civic-minded and talented photographer Michelle Stancil spent the day recording images from the tournament.
