SUMMERDALE, Ala. — The town of Summerdale will debut a Christmas concert in December.
During last week’s Town Council Workshop, Councilwoman Norma Wilson Giles announced that the concert will take place at 7 p.m. on Dec. 5 in Summerdale Town Hall.
“The concert is to benefit the (Marjorie Younce Snook) Library,” she said.
Giles said that while the event’s lineup has yet to be finalized, the evening is expected to feature such instruments as piano, violin, flute and the viola.
Giles also said ticket prices will be announced following an Aug. 21 library board meeting.
“But they won’t be more than $10,” she said.
In addition, Giles also asked for volunteers to decorate the council chambers for the concert before Thanksgiving. Plus, she asked for ideas about whether or not refreshments should be served.
