Foley, Ala. - Summerdale Police Chief Dwaine Riebeling said he is meeting with his attorney today at 2 p.m. and would not make any comments on his suspension from the Summerdale Police Department.

"I don't want to make a comment at this time," Riebeling said. "I want to speak with my attorney first."

Summerdale Mayor David Wilson notified Riebeling and Corporal Quentin Bettner of the suspension with pay Monday afternoon and a town employee stated Wilson will recommend their termination to the town council.

Riebeling said he was upset over the recent events. Riebeling said there were Baldwin County Sheriff's Office deputies at the station to make sure nothing happened as he left.

"I don't know why," he said about the presence of the deputies
