Summer Nicole Moody, 17, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012.
She was a graduate of Baldwin County High School and an all-star volleyball player with numerous awards for her achievements as an outside hitter. Summer loved the beach, loved to hunt, and was an avid Alabama fan. She was employed at Lambert’s Café, looking forward to her senior prom with boyfriend of six months, Scott Byrd, and had plans to start college in the fall.
Summer is survived by her father, Mark Moody; mother, Terri Lewis; stepfather, Jason Lewis; sisters, Blair Johnson, Heather Moody, Brooke Moody, and Laken Lewis; maternal grandmother, Anne Mitchell; and paternal grandmother, Yvonne Bowlin and husband Hoss Bowlin.
The funeral service will be Monday, April 30, at 10 a.m. at Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Cokes Chapel Cemetery, Ward.
