Garland W. Sullivan died Wednesday, June 13, 2007.

A lifelong resident of Fairhope, she was a fierce animal rights and environmental advocate and loved her community very much. She had a love of life and an adventurous spirit that will be missed by those who knew her best.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold P. West, and her mother, Frances S. West.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Edgar F. Sullivan; three children, Laura S. (Jerry) Sharpless of Fairhope, Blake F. (Victoria) Sullivan of Simpsonville, S.C., and Colleen S. (Robert) Massey of Bay Springs, Miss.; four grandchildren, Garland R. (Shane) Hughes, Kathleen R. Sharpless, Tide S. Holobaugh, and Cullen G. Holobaugh; one great-grandchild, Gavin M. Alexander; a brother, Terrence P. West; aunt, Laura P. Mayton; countless friends and family whom she loved dearly.

Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. followed by a memorial service beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 16 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home with the Rev.Phil Chapman officiating.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Mercy Medical Home Hospice, 101 Villa Drive, Daphne, AL.
