Evelyn Carol Ottomeier Straub, 81, a native of St. Charles, Mo., and a resident of Foley, died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at her home.
She traveled extensively all through her life. She retired in Foley where she worked at the State Park in Gulf Shores. For many years she helped coach the Foley Swim Team.
She was active in local theatre, performing in 14 plays. He love of painting, cooking and conversing endeared her to many. Most recently, she was part of the Hot Tappers, an over 50 tap dancing group. She will be missed by many.
Survivors include her husband, Ervin Straub of Foley; three sons, Kurt (Joanne) Straub of Orlando, Fla.; Al (Hannah) Straub of Milwaukee; and Kent Straub of Gulf Shores; daughter, Jan Ludolph of Forest Grove, Ore.; one granddaughter, Lindsey Lewis; one sister and one brother.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
