Strachan-Singleton

FAIRHOPE, Ala. — Erica Elizabeth Strachan and Adam Edgar Singleton were united in marriage at Dorgan’s Inn on March 26, 2011. Dr. Jerry Henry officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward F. Strachan of Fairhope.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Holladay of Mobile and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward F. Strachan Sr.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Singleton of Chevy Chase, Md.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Shipley and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Singleton.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Miss Mary Lanaux as her maid of honor.

Also attending the bride were Miss Emily Capehart, Miss Kristina Murphy, Miss Claire Fulton and Miss Alicia D. Alessandro.

The flower girl was Lucy Smith, niece of the groom.

Mr. George Alafoginis served as best man.

Grooms-men were Mr. Kyle Rattet, Mr. Daniel Shapiro, Mr. Joshua Evans and Mr. Charles Poplstein.

Ushers were Mr. Kevin Strachan and Mr. Ryan Strachan, brothers of the bride, and Mr. Bowman Elder and Mr. David Greengard.

The ring bearers were Shane Fifield and Simon Smith, nephews of the groom.

Violinist for the ceremony was Ms. Ashlee Duff.

A reception followed at Dorgan’s Inn.

Following a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Washington, D.C.
