Stormwater is the topic for Sept. 13 discussion

FAIRHOPE, Ala. — Casi Callaway will address the Fairhope Unitarian Fellowship on Sunday, Sept. 13. Her topic will be “Dealing with Stormwater in Baldwin County.” She will discuss the effects stormwater can have on our environment. The public is invited to attend.

Since 1998 Callaway has been a member of Mobile Baykeeper, and is now executive director. She is concerned with research and education on the issues that affect our public health, environment and quality of life in the Mobile Bay Area. She has been active in Clean Water Action, Earth Day, Waterkeeper Alliance, Gulf Fisheries, Clean Air Network, and Clean Water Network.

Callaway holds a B.A. degree in philosophy and human and natural ecology from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga.                  

The Unitarian Fellowship meets each Sunday morning from 11 a.m. to noon. The Children’s Fellowship meets at the same time. An adult discussion group meets at 10 a.m. The Fellowship is located at 1150 Fairhope Ave., across from the Fairhope Satellite Courthouse.
