Barbara Wilson Stoddard, born June 22, 1943 in Fairhope, a resident of Magnolia Springs, died Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope.
She graduated from Foley High School and attended the University of Alabama from 1961-63. She followed her husband’s Naval and airline career from Key West, Fla., to California and many points in between, living in seven different states, always supportive and always a leader. The couple moved back home to Baldwin County in 1995.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Anthony Stoddard; two sons, Robert A. Stoddard Jr. of Daphne, and David Edward Wilson Stoddard of Atlanta; a daughter, Mary Vickery Stoddard (Dr. Jay C.) Taylor of Rehoboth Beach, Del; and four grandchildren, Shelby Elizabeth Stoddard of Daphne, Olivia Stewart Taylor, David Hamilton Taylor and Abigail Vickery Taylor, all of Rehoboth Beach.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 15 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Magnolia Springs. Visitation in the Parish Hall will follow the service.
