Stella Gonzales Griggers, 82, passed away in the evening of Oct. 11, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Stella was born Dec. 2, 1930 in Roswell, N.M. She lived most of her life in Pensacola and Robertsdale, and most recently in Cumming, Ga.
She retired after 27 years from St. Regis Paper Co. in Cantonment, Fla.
Stella was preceded in death her husband of 49 years, Marvin Griggers.
She is survived by a daughter, Yolanda Smithee of Cumming; three sons, John Merritt (wife, Dava) of Pensacola, Jesse Licon (wife, Fabiana) of El Paso, Texas and Gilbert Licon of Roswell, N.M.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at 10 a.m., at Mack Funeral Home chapel in Robertsdale, with the Rev. Danny Park officiating. Burial will be at New Cooper Cemetery, Robertsdale.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 9 until 10 a.m., at the funeral home.
