ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — Stastka Insurance Agency Inc. will celebrate 15 years of service on Tuesday, May 12, hosting a Business After Hours with the Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce.

Dennis Stastka and his wife Joan opened Stastka Insurance Agency Inc. on Highway 59 in Robertsdale across from Robertsdale High School in June, 1 2000.

“My dad (Jerry Stastka), who passed away in November 2014, gave us our first sign for the building,” Dennis Stastka said.

In 2004, Staskta Insurance Agency moved to its new location at 22678 Highway 59 in Robertsdale.

“I still proudly display the sign on our building,” he said. “He and mom (Dorothy) along with Joan were an inspriration for us to start the business.”

Stastka said he was working with his uncle to construct their new home when he was hired by Grady P. “Jimmy” Gilbert in 1971 and worked for 29 years before he and Joan launched their own business.

“I will always be eternally grateful to (him),” Stastka said. “The City of Robertsdale and surrounding communities have been good to us as we seek to serve the insurance needs of primary wrecker services.”

Stastka Insurance Agency Inc. now insures tow truck drivers in three states, Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.
