Stanley Peyton Weiss, 61, a native of Mobile and a resident of Daphne, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, peacefully at home from complications of Huntington’s Chorea.
He graduated from McGill-Toolen High School and earned a B.S. degree in business administration from the University of South Alabama. He retired from McKinney Petroleum Equipment Inc. in Mobile.
He was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ in Robertsdale and was active in the church leadership until his health failed.
He loved to fly and earned his pilot’s license while in college. He enjoyed all types of water sports and was known to his family and friends as the No. 1 Auburn fan. But more importantly, he was a Christian who loved the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman C. Weiss Jr.; and three beloved pets, Armani, Daphne Blue and Ace.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Meriam Weiss; sister, Dr. Susan Hall Weiss of Mobile; two sisters-in-law, Melinda Early and Mary Jo (Larry) Conley of Lillian; brother-in-law Billy Wayne Early of Robertsdale; two aunts, Kay Weiss of Mobile, and Voncille Musgrave of New Orleans; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 14 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne with funeral services at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Baldwin Memorial Cemetery, Robertsdale.
Pallbearers are Larry Conley, Billy Wayne Early, Scott Early, Marcus Early, Kerry Stone, Richard Stone, and Clay Bedford.
