St. Michael Catholic High School announced that Philip Martin will serve as Assistant Principal for the 2026-2027 school year.

According to a news release form the school, Martin has been part of the St. Michael faculty for nine years and has previously taught at McGill-Toolen Catholic High School for five years. At St. Michael, he has also served three years on the Academic Advisory Council and is completing a term on the Christ the King Advisory Council.

A graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Industrial Engineering, Martin earned a Master of Arts in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville. His family has a further connection to the school, with his oldest child enrolled this year, the release said.

"We are thrilled that Mr. Martin was willing to step into this leadership role. His experience and dedication will allow Coach (Offerle) to step back into the classroom, making this a real win-win for our students and faculty alike," Principal Andrea Williamson said in the release.

Martin and his wife, Jennifer, live in Daphne with their six children and are active parishioners at Christ the King Catholic Church.
