Mobile’s Singing Children will perform at St. Francis at the Point on Monday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m.
The concert is free and open to the public. St. Francis at the Point is located at 17280 Scenic Hwy. 98 in Fairhope.
Directed by Katie Hoitt, Mobile’s Singing Children is the Gulf Coast’s premier youth choir. Now in its 49th season, the choir has toured across Europe, Canada and the United States, performing at conferences, festivals and community events.
The choir has been selected as a performing ensemble for the Alabama Music Educators Association in 2016 and the Mississippi American Choral Directors Association in 2017. In 2020, members sang as part of the President’s Choir at the Regional ACDA Conference and were chosen as the guest choir for the Southern Invitational Choral Conference at the University of Southern Mississippi in 2021.
Mobile’s Singing Children regularly performs with the Mobile Symphony, the Mobile Opera and at venues throughout the Mobile area. The choir is committed to pursuing artistic excellence through both education and performance.
