ELBERTA, Ala. — St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Elberta wrapped up its week of Vacation Bible School on Aug. 1.
With the theme, “Son Treasure Island,” the week included more than 55 children sporting yellow VBS shirts and sailor hats whiel enjoying a meal, Bible Story, games and crafts.
That was in the midst of an atmosphere that brought the nautical theme to life.
It was created by volunteers who spent time building all of the scenery. That Friday, the children were recognized for taking part in VBS, which was directed by Erin Faulk, Tracy Krauss and Katarina Kurtts.
