SPRING SPORTS: Tigers, Toros, Admirals win in baseball, Pirates fall in soccer

BAY MINETTE, Alabama — Coming off a tournament win in Troy over the weekend, the Baldwin County Tigers kept winning with a 10-7 victory over Davidson on Tuesday.

J.A. Harville had a two-run home run and Jake Swearingen drove in two runs for BCHS (8-2), who hosts Homewood tonight at 6:30.

Toros win at Vigor, Saraland

MOBILE — The Spanish Fort Toros shut out Vigor 15-0 and beat Saraland 5-2 this week.

Ryan Roberts allowed two hits to get the Toros’ win over Vigor. Matt Hall had three hits and and three RBIs against the Wolves, and Matthew Harris had three hits and an RBI.

Heith Brown had 10 strikeouts to get the win over Saraland. Hall had two hits and an RBI, and Shane English had two hits and an RBI in the win. Spanish Fort hosts Robertsdale and Homewood on Saturday.

Bayside Academy beats St. Luke’s 7-4

DAPHNE — The Bayside Academy Admirals defeated visiting St. Luke’s 7-4 on Tuesday. Jacob Graddick got the win for the Admirals, who improved to 7-3 and host Pensacola Christian in a double header at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Kevin Masterson had two RBIs and Hunter Slater drove in three runs on a triple for the Admirals.

SOFTBALL: Spanish Fort beats Gulf Shores

GULF SHORES — The Spanish Fort Lady Toros took a 5-2 win against 5A Area 2 rival Gulf Shores on Tuesday.

Morgan Yates got the win for the Toros, while Olivia Cox and Riley Uhle had two RBIs apiece and Jade Phillips had a home run. Nicole Wallace had two hits for the Dolphins, who fell to 4-6 overall.

Central Christian 10 runs West Florida

ROBERTSDALE — The Central Christian Lady Saints got a 14-4 mercy-rule shortened win over West Florida Baptist. McKenna Fountain had a three-run home run and Meghan Day gave up three hits to get the win for the Saints, who play at Atmore Christian on Tuesday.

BOYS SOCCER: Robertsdale beats BCHS

ROBERTSDALE — Jose Gabriel had two goals for Robertsdale in a 4-1 win over Baldwin County on Tuesday night as the Bears improved to 8-3-1 overall and 3-1 in section play.

Robertsdale plays at Fairhope and BCHS hosts Foley tonight at 7 p.m.

McGill-Toolen tops Fairhope Pirates

FAIRHOPE — The McGill-Toolen Yellow Jackets took a 1-0 win at Fairhope on Tuesday. Drew Maguire scored the game’s only goal for the Jackets, who play at Daphne tonight at 7:30 p.m. Fairhope hosts Robertsdale tonight at 7:30 p.m.

GIRLS SOCCER: Robertsdale girls beat BCHS 5-1

The Robertsdale girls got their second win of the season with a 5-1 victory over section foe Baldwin County on Tuesday.

Georgia Pardue had four goals to lead the Lady Bears, while Emily McKinnis had a goal for BCHS. Robertsdale (2-6-1) hosts Fairhope tonight at 7:30 p.m. while BCHS (0-7) hosts Foley.
