Registration for Bay Minette Youth Baseball will be held on the following dates:  February 26, March 05, and March 12.  Registration will be held from 9 a.m. until noon at Halliday Park.  Registration fees are $75 for the first child and $35 for each additional child.  Registration fees are non-refundable.  Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate to registration.  Try-outs will be held on March 12 immediately following registration. 

All players should check at registration to see if they need to attend try-outs.  Online registration payment available on our website at www.bmyb.org.

The Annual Orange Beach Lions Club Golf Tournament will be held on March 12 at the Orange Beach Golf Center.  Teams will consist of two people with an entry fee of $25 per person which includes lunch. Tee off is set for 9 a.m.  Lunch (sausage dogs and chips) will be provided by Vision Bank. Funds raised from this event help Lions Club eyesight programs and scholarships to Orange Beach students.

The Fairhope Pirate Booster Club will hold its annual Pirate Classic Golf Tournament on Sunday, March 13. Terry Thompson Chevrolet is the title sponsor of the four-man, scramble tournament. The tournament will be held at Quail Creek Golf Course in Fairhope and will begin at 1 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded for the teams with low net and low gross scores. There will also be prizes for the longest drive, the longest putt and closest to the pin. Terry Thompson Chevrolet will also provide someone a chance to win a car with a hole-in-one. The Fairhope High School golf team will also be on hand to host a casino hole and participants will have a chance to win prizes in the putting contest.

The City of Bay Minette is currently accepting registration materials for youth softball for ages 3-15. Registration costs $40 and applicants must provide a copy of the child’s birth certificate upon registration. For information, call 251-937-3338.

Foley Youth Baseball and Softball Spring registration for youth baseball and softball will begin on February 9 and end on February 23 at Foley City Hall. Registration times will be Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30-5:30 p.m. Please visitwww.foleyrecreation.com for more information.

 Free baseball workouts will be offered for youth 7 and up every Sunday in February (Feb. 6, 13. 20, 27) from 2-4 p.m.. The Baseball workouts will be held at Mel Roberts Baseball Park (Cedar St. Park).

The Elberta Little League, Inc will host registration for tee ball, baseball and softball.  Registration will be held every Saturday in February, 9-11 a.m. at the ball park's concession stand in downtown Elberta. Boys age 5-14 and Girls age 5-16.  A copy of a birth certificate is required for a first time player. Call 986-5816 for information.

The Fairhope Public Library Foundation is proud to announce and host the Library's 3rd Annual "Hoot Scoot"!   Mark your calendars for  April 29, at 6:30 p.m. 

Fairhope's only night,  prediction run will not only feature the original 5K route through the streets of downtown Fairhope,  but also a 1 mile fun run,  "Fledglings In Flight".  We will be hosting all of the festivities on the Library Lawn this year and are thrilled to have live music by The Leavin' Brothers perform at our post-race celebration.  T-Shirts, pizza and beverages will be provided to pre-registered race participants and available to others for purchase while supplies last!  Bring your family and friends for what is always certain to be a "Hooting" good time!

Golf Clinics will be held at Kiva Dunes in March for women and men who are beginners or intermediate golfers. All aspects of the game will be covered including putting, short game and full swing.
