Spanish Fort's Hope, Sanders to continue volleyball careers

Toro duo set to take talents to Louisiana-Monroe, Coastal South

Two members from Spanish Fort’s state runner-up volleyball team signed with college programs recently.

Bailey Hope put pen to paper to cement her pledge to join the Louisiana-Monroe beach volleyball squad and Brianna Sanders will take her talents to Coastal Alabama South to join the Sun Chiefs indoor team.

The pair were integral players who helped the Toros take down Bayside Academy in the Class 6A Area 2 Tournament to punch a ticket back to the state tournament. There, they eventually met the Admirals again and fell in their first state championship match since 2019.

For her efforts, Hope was named to the all-state tournament team as one of three Toro representatives.
