Spanish Fort woman dead after vehicle crashes near Loxley

MOBILE, Ala. — At approximately 5:30 p.m. Feb. 19, Alabama State Troopers responded to investigate a single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Baldwin County woman.

The crash occurred on Interstate 10 approximately 14 miles east of Loxley. Angela Stephens, 45, of Spanish Fort was killed when the 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe she was driving traveled off of the roadway and overturned. Stephens was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Passengers Olivia Stephens, 13, from Spanish Fort and Alex Stephens, 4, from Spanish Fort were injured and transported by Life Flight to Sacred Heart Medical Center to be treated for their injuries. 

State Troopers continue to investigate.
