SPANISH FORT, Ala.—Spanish Fort High School’s artistic prowess was on display from the top down during the recent regional art fair hosted by Faulkner State Community College, where the Toros walked away with four awards.

SFHS art teacher Kelly Denton received the Professional Art Educator Award, while student Amanada Megehee was awarded Best of Show.

SFHS Principal Marty McRae said Denton’s award was bestowed in “recognition of her outstanding teaching skills in 2011.”

In addition, SFHS students Cole Manders and Nick Hackman both received merit awards during the competition that attracts students from across Baldwin County.

The art was judged on creativity, design, technique and presentation.
