FOLEY — The investigation into a series of South Baldwin burglaries has resulted in one arrest and a warrant issued for the apprehension of several others.
According to Foley Police Lt. David White, several burglaries were reported in September, with the first taking place at a Meadow Run residence on Sept. 19.
“The offenders broke a rear window and entered the residence,” White said. “Several items were stolen including a television and game consoles. There were also two burglaries in Robertsdale on Sept. 20 and two in the Bon Secour area on Sept. 22. All burglaries had the same M.O. and included witness statements that described a small, black four-door vehicle leaving each of the scenes.”
The investigation has resulted in the arrest of 20-year-old Donivan Shaquille Jones of Robertsdale.
“On Oct. 2 Foley Police, investigators acted on an anonymous tip and contacted Donivan Shaquille Jones, 20, of Robertsdale and after further investigation, arrested Jones for one count of burglary in the third degree for the Meadow Run burglary,” White said. “Robertsdale Police charged him with two counts of burglary in the third degree and Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office charged him with two counts of burglary in the third degree.”
The lieutenant explained that Foley and Robertsdale Police, as well as the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, are looking for two additional suspects in the case: 19-year-olf Ryan Deanthony Williams of Foley and 19-year-old Jamal Devonte Edwards of Mobile.
