GULF SHORES — After one day of competition at the Alabama Independent School Association’s state track and field championships at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium in Gulf Shores, a dozen athletes from Snook Christian Academy punched a ticket to tomorrow’s finals.
Allie Clayton registered two spots in the finals, one in the long jump and the 300-meter hurdles, and five events will feature a pair of Eagles, including the boys’ high jump, shotput, 800-meter run and 3200-meter run as well as the girls’ 300-meter dash.
Final heats of the field events are set to begin at 10:30 a.m. and the running finals are slated to start at noon back at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex Friday, April 14, with state titles on the line.
