Linda S. Smith of Prosperity, S.C., 59, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007 peacefully at her residence, surrounded by family and her Winyah Community Hospice Care team.
She was born in Spartanburg, S.C., the daughter of Walter Wilson and Aline Livingston Wilson.
She was employed at Carol Campbell Place until her illness and had served in the medical field for 24 years.
Survivors include her loving husband Johnny Smith; children, John Murphy of Gulf Shores, and Lisa; sister, Dixie; brother Walter “Corky” (Beth) Wilson; numerous nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held for family and closest personal friends.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Winyah Community Hospice Care, 205 Stoneridge Drive, Suite B, Columbia, S.C., 29210.
She was accepted into the Gift of Body Program at the USC School of Medicine.
