Single-vehicle accident results in death

A 27-year female from Seminole, Ala., was killed in a single-vehicle accident, which took place Tuesday, Oct. 5 at approximately 5:20 p.m.

According to Robyn Litchfield, public information specialist for the Alabama Department of Public Safety, Brooke Lee Buscaino was driving a 2004 Honda Civic on a county road one mile south of Elberta, when her vehicle crossed the centerline.

Buscaino allegedly overcorrected, crossed the centerline once more, exited the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

She died on the scene.

The investigation by the Alabama Department of Public Safety is ongoing.
