A single-vehicle crash at 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, has claimed the life of an Elberta man. Jacob Robert Moore, 28, was killed when the 2008 Chevrolet pickup he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Moore was not using a seat belt, was ejected and died as a result of his injuries. The crash occurred on Old Pascagoula Road six miles west of Mobile city limits. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
